We offer programs for communities to learn and recreate in the outdoors.

Our Mission

All Are We Water Collective works in partnership with Tribal and Indigenous communities on the West Coast and in Maui to co-create outdoor educational and recreational programs for families. These programs promote healthy lifestyles, uplift Native wisdom of the environment and inspire a sense of responsibility to protect our planet for future generations. We amplify indigeneity, diversify our surfing communities, and strengthen community relations between Indigenous Nations and the non-Native community members who live on their ancestral lands.

Over the years, there has been a decline in Indigenous representation in the surfing communities situated in and around Indigenous ancestral lands. Tribal elders have witnessed colonialism, losing their beaches and access to water due to development and tourism, and have watched surfing, many of whom have ancestors that were the first surfers in these communities, becoming commercialized by White dominant culture. AAWWC was built to co-create events and workshops with Native communities that support native families to learn surfing, heal from intergenerational trauma and build power and positionality to become influential stewards of the land.
